Card magic doesn’t get any more direct, or invasive as this.  The spectator is asked to think of any card they see in a fan of cards.  The magician closes the deck and deals down to the spectators thought of card.  Strait up creepy.  No guess work, no peeks, no knuckle breaking sleight of hand.  Best of all, do it for two people at the same time.

You start off the DVD with a live performance at some kind of restaurant where two spectators are asked to think of a playing card from a fan which is awkwardly held above their heads, before the magician starts dealing down cards to reveal their thought of cards.  The effect produced some strong reactions with one of the spectators words being bleeped out which is always encouraging.

The deck you receive is a gimmicked deck made on Bicycle stock.  The deck itself is of good card quality but is hardly examinable by the audience.  The method for holding the cards over the spectators heads during the selection processes helps hide the gimmicked deck from being discovered by the spectators.  So while you can perform this effect for two spectators at the same time, you can’t perform this effect more than once for the same audience.  Also due to the nature of this trick you can’t use this deck for any other tricks other than this one.  So if you’re doing any other card work you’ll need to switch decks.  Not the end of the world for most card workers, but can be annoying.

The trick resets quickly, and can be mastered with a little practice.  This would work well for close up or small stage performances, and would be ideal for table hopping.  The skill level required to perform this is beginner to moderate with most of the difficulty being in confidence in handling the cards in front of a spectator without fear of being caught out.

This effect is a fun trick to perform and can produce some amazing reactions.  I would recommend you check it out if you like card magic, mind reading, or mental magic.

When I give my product scores below I am measuring them on a scale of 1 to 10. 1 Being absolute the worst score possible, and 10 being the absolute best, making a score of five average. The four points that I grade upon is Product Quality, Teaching Quality, Sound & Video Quality and Overall Quality.

Product Quality: 7

Solid trick, quick reset, and a one use wonder.

Teaching Quality: 8

Great tutorial.  Well taught.

Video & Sound Quality: 9

Great sound and video.

Overall Quality: 7

This isn’t bad for a single use trick deck.  The reactions are worth it.
